Meet

Jamie

Made Ya Look!

Here’s the scoop. I’m 25 year-old pink Cadillac director and entrepreneur in Mary Kay. My official title would be “Elite Executive Senior Sales Director” but I don’t expect you to remember that. I’ve been building my business for a little over 5 years and have found that this “work” also happens to be my greatest passion and calling.

I discovered somewhere along the way that I was actually kinda sorta good at this and that I could make an actual difference in another woman’s life. When I experienced seeing other young women become financially stable, have options for their lives, have the chance to travel, grow in their confidence, and grow on a personal level…. well…. you could say I was hooked for life. I take so much pride in what I do and it brings me so much joy that it hurts sometimes!

It’s been a fun ride so far, ladies and gents. My 5 years of entrepreneurship have afforded me 4 free cars, over 15 karats in diamond jewelry, trips all over the world, friends for life, and a deep sense of accomplishment.

However, those things are not what drive me. Believe it or not, I don’t get out of bed in the morning for diamond rings! Crazy, I know. What makes me work hard and refuse to quit is so much bigger than the job perks. I am pulled by my vision to make a difference in young women’s lives and help them re-write their futures. My dream is to create something so big and beautiful that the ripple effect will extend far beyond my years on Earth.

Now THAT will get me out of bed in the morning!

Getting to know the real me:

When I’m not working, I enjoy being near water, shopping, interior decorating, traveling to as many places as possible, snuggling with my hot husband Zac and our mini dachshund Remi and watching The Bachelor (but those things never happen at the same time because Zac hates the Bachelor).

There are few things on this earth I love more than a fancy hotel. But some of my other favorite “simple pleasures” include fresh, white towels (because they make you feel like you’re at a fancy hotel!), candles, peonies, brunch, Gossip Girl, hiking, miniature things, sunsets and sunrises, talking to my grandpa, buying new underwear, tea time, and Moscow Mules. I also am fully aware that this list may make the most basic girl alive.

I graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations in 2013. I met my sweet husband, Zac, at LU in my Public Speaking class our first semester of freshman year. (cute, I know.) We got married in 2013 a few months after graduation as 21-year-old kids. Looking back, I sometimes can’t believe our parents were so cool with us getting married so young. But it’s worked out for the best. In many ways Zac and I have grown up together and navigated 100% of adulthood together (since we met at the tender age of 18). Zac is currently serving our community as a Police Officer. We bought our first house as 22-year-olds (again, mere children, but with a mortgage now) and we love every second of living there. My favorite place to be is on our screen porch in the mornings drinking my coffee and watching the sun pop through the trees while I read my Bible and/or scroll through Instagram (lol don’t judge me).

Like I mentioned before, our wiener dog, Remi, is the literal light of our lives and I’m embarrassed to admit it. I’ve actually become one of those people. While I don’t have a bumper sticker that says “I love my dachshund” (yet), I now totally understand people who are disgustingly in love with their dog. Remi totally loves Zac more than me but I’m okay with it. Me and Zac now regularly call each other “mommy” and “daddy” and it’s SO embarrassing but we are in too deep to fix it now. We are just a couple of weird-o dog parents for now.

If we rewind to 2012, the middle of my college career, I began my lifelong adventure with Mary Kay. I originally started because I believed I could probably make a few extra bucks hooking my grandma up with some bomb moisturizer and I knew my mom would buy literally one of everything in the catalog (because she’s that kind of mom). I found that I was not only making money, but also having more fun than I could have ever imagined! So I decided to stick it out for the long haul. Less than a year from beginning my business, I earned my first free Mary Kay car while finishing up my senior year at LU. I graduated and never got a real job ever again. It was a good choice and it’s one that I’m very proud of!

Last but certainly not least, my faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation for my life . This faith is my compass as I navigate business and relationships. God's neverending love and grace in our lives truly inspires me to give love and grace away to everyone in my life.

My blog is a place for me to share my ideas and what works for me, things that the Lord is teaching me and show my followers what a day-in-the-life looks like for me! As much as a love my Pink Cadillac, life isn’t all about my work. Like I said, I am also passionate about family, faith, travel and beautiful spaces.  I believe everything is worth celebrating and nothing is ordinary. I believe you should burn the expensive candles because life is to short to let them sit there for a special occasion. At the end of it all, my dream life would be living each day like it’s a special occasion. My blog is where my work and life collide. I hope you love it.

Thanks for being here!

xoxo
